Organic Latex Mattress

Is latex hot to sleep on?
There is a common misconception that sleeping on a latex mattress feels hot. This issue probably arises because so many people confuse latex with memory foam. One should not feel warm while sleeping on a latex mattress compared to a memory foam mattress.

Owing to its open-cell foam structure, a latex mattress actually allows air to circulate much better than many other types of mattresses, allowing for a cool comfortable sleep. In addition, a latex mattress is punctuated by pinholes set at regular intervals, offering even further airflow.

However, even if your mattress itself has the best airflow in the world, you will only feel cool if your mattress cover allows proper ventilation. There is no point in enclosing a latex mattress in an airtight cover: you would lose all the benefits of the mattress ventilation. Luckily for Heveya mattresses, our breathable bamboo cover is great for air and moisture regulation.
How do I maintain my latex mattress?
If you want your mattress to last longer, follow this helpful guide on mattress care.

- Give your mattress a good support by using a sturdy bed frame with adequate center support that will prevent bowing or breakage.

- Rotate your mattress every six months. This ensures that a person sleeps on different parts of the mattress to even out the pressure. You can also flip-over the mattress and sleep on the other side once a while to extend the lifespan of the mattress.

-Let your mattress breathe. Ventilate your room every day. We recommend using a slatted bed base as a support, rather than a full plank or box spring to facilitate breathability.

- Do not expose the mattress core to direct sunlight! UV rays can cause the latex to deteriorate across time.
Do you offer customisation of mattresses?
Yes, we do! With latex mattresses, customisation to any size is possible. Latex foam is very flexible and can be cut into different shapes as requested.

Can I use a latex mattress/topper if I have a latex allergy?
Generally, people develop a latex allergy when they are in direct contact with the latex itself. This will not be the case with latex mattress/topper as you will be sleeping on the bedsheet or cover. However, if you have a severe latex allergy and unsure about the safety of sleeping on a latex mattress/topper, please consult your doctor.
How do I clean my latex topper?
Heveya® latex toppers come with a removable bamboo cover that can be unzipped and dry-cleaned. In the event that stains went into the latex core, simply dab with wet cloth, then dry cloth and let the latex ventilate to dry.
How do I know if your baby cot mattress can provide good support for my baby?
Heveya® baby cot mattresses come in medium-firm density. It is firm enough to reduce the risk of suffocation and sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). Due to latex's natural elasticity, the mattress provides a comfortable and supportive sleeping surface for your baby's skeletal development.

How do I clean my pillow?
Heveya® pillows come with a removable bamboo cover that can be dry cleaned.
In the event that stains went into the latex core, avoid putting it in the washing machine. Simply dab with wet cloth and mild detergent, then let the latex ventilate to dry.
Can I use a latex pillow if I have a latex allergy?
Generally, people develop latex allergy when they are in direct contact with the latex itself. However, with latex pillows, you will sleep on the pillowcase/cover. If you have a severe latex allergy and are unsure about the safety of sleeping on a latex pillow, please consult your doctor.
How often should I replace my latex pillow?
Heveya® latex pillows are very durable and can keep its support for 4-5 years. However, most sleep experts recommend to replace your pillows every 1-2 years to ensure they are supportive, clean, and free of allergens. Proper maintenance can extend the lifespan of your pillow.
Can I sun my latex pillow?
As latex is a natural material that is sensitive to UV light, please avoid air drying your Heveya® pillow under direct sunlight. Strong exposure to sunlight will cause the latex to oxidize, which will ultimately distort the physical elements and lead to your mattress breaking down.
What is your return policy?

Bamboo Lyocell Sheets

What is a good thread count for bamboo sheets?
We’ve heard the buzz around “1000 thread count”. However, bigger does not always equal better when it comes to bed sheets. In comparison to cotton, a 250 thread count on bamboo sheets is more than enough to give you that luxurious soft feeling! The thread count for bamboo sheets ranges between 150-400, with the optimum being 200-350. Our Heveya Bamboo Lyocell Sheets are all 350 TC, the maximum this material can achieve.
How do I wash my bamboo sheets?
It is important to avoid warm water when washing your bamboo sheets. Make sure to wash your bamboo sheets at a cool water setting, on a gentle cycle of maximum 30 degree Celcius. They are very easy to care for, simply toss them in the washing machine and you’re good to go!
Are bamboo sheets good for your skin?
Yes, bamboo sheets are indeed a great option for those struggling with skin sensitivity. They help soothe skin irritations as they are incredibly silky and smooth. Also, as they wick away moisture, they help prevent breakouts by discouraging bacterial growth in your bed - giving you clearer skin!
What is a duvet cover used for?
A duvet cover is basically a protective layer for your duvet or comforter. It makes it much easier for you to maintain your bedroom hygiene as it is easily removable and washable, meaning you don't have to wash your duvet insert as often. Simply protect your duvet with a duvet cover & toss it in the washing machine once a week along with your bed sheets!
Moreover, with a duvet cover, you can change colours anytime you want to match your sheets!
How do I keep a duvet cover in place?
We understand the struggle with your duvet moving out of place as you toss and turn at night - the best way to avoid this is to invest in a duvet cover that comes with ribbon ties in every corner. Secure all sides of your duvet with the ribbon ties of the duvet cover & rest easy without the slipping and sliding!
How do I smooth wrinkles out of bamboo fitted sheets?
Let's be honest - we absolutely dread ironing bed sheets, especially fitted sheets!
What's great about our bamboo sheets is that they release wrinkles naturally when you line dry and sleep on them, no ironing is necessary.
However, if you really can't stand the site of wrinkles and want perfectly ironed sheets we suggest:
Steaming our bed sheets with a clothes steamer! If you do not have a steamer, however, another easy way to eliminate wrinkles is by dampening the sheets with water using a spray bottle.
Spray, smooth with your hands & leave them to dry - Make sure to not go overboard with the spraying and soak your whole bed!
What is the difference between a flat sheet and a fitted sheet?
Flat sheets are a rectangular piece of cloth and as the name suggests, they lie flat on your mattress. Some place a flat sheet in between the duvet and fitted sheet. For some, a flat sheet is used to cover the mattress like a fitted sheet.
Fitted sheets on the other hand, are only used to cover the mattress. They are conveniently fitted with elasticated sides that can be pulled over a mattress for a tight and snug fit.
What goes first? A flat sheet or a fitted sheet?
Traditionally, to make your bed - you place your fitted sheet over the mattress first, then you lay the flat sheet on top of the fitted sheet and then finish it up by placing your duvet on top of the flat sheet!

Again, your bed, your rules. If you prefer to use flat sheets as regular sheets over the mattress or as a simple decorative piece, you go ahead!
What is an envelope pillow case?
A standard pillow cover is usually open on the ends which allows your pillow to peak through and slide around, destroying your beautiful bedroom aesthetic. On the other hand, an envelope pillow case comes with an envelope closure at the end that keeps your pillow nice and tucked all through the night. No sliding arond, no pillow peak-throughs!
Do bamboo pillow cases help with allergies?
Yes, the type of pillowcase you choose to sleep on can either worsen or ease your morning allergies. Bamboo, along with Linen pillow cases are a great choice for allergy sufferers as they're naturally Hypoallergenic & Moisture-aborbing - meaning, they reduce allergies by eliminating moisture and naturally resisting dust-mites, pollen and all sorts of bacteria.
How do pillow cases affect your skin?
While you're getting your 8 hours of sleep in, your pillow cases are accumulating sweat, bacteria, make-up, hair oils and the list goes on! This is what clogs pores, leads to skin irritations and eventually, acne-breakouts. In order to avoid skin irritations, make sure you're washing and changing your pillow cases frequently. Also, invest in hypoallergenic and breathable pillow cases that will not trap sweat and moisture!
